AB 17 VETO EFFORT GAINS MOMENTUM
More than 200 Californians have responded to our last
E-LERT, or otherwise used the
www.religiousliberty.info web
site to urge Governor Gray Davis to veto AB 17. While this
is an excellent start, we need to generate literally
thousands of e.mails.
AB 17 will require religious institutions to provide
benefits to domestic partners, or lose the right to
participate in state contracts. This could impact
hospitals? ability to participate in MediCal, and many
other public/private partnerships.
WHAT TO DO NOW
If you haven't already sent a letter to the governor
Click here to send it now!
Make an announcement at church, and encourage people to
come send letters after the worship service. This only
takes a few moments.
Forward this E-LERT widely, and encourage others to send
their letters.
