April 12 -- No Religious Freedom in Afghanistan. Attorney James Standish,

            Newly introduced Constitutional Amendment dealing with school prayer, and other school prayer issues arising from the crisis post 9-11. Brent Walker is director of the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs. 

 

.           January 26 – Canada’s Anti-Christian Attitude. Joe Woodward

Canadian Reporter Joe Woodward discusses developments in Canada that threaten the religious freedom of Christians. His article appeared in Liberty magazine.

            March 16 -- Churches and Politics. Brad Newton

Government Affairs director Brad Newton discusses HR 2357 the Houses of Worship Political Speech Protection Act that would permit churches to engage in certain forms of political activity.

            March 23 -- God Bless America? Part Two. Clifford Goldstein

Former Liberty magazine editor, Clifford Goldstein discusses the spiritual implications of the explosion of faith and patriotism.

 

            June 8 -- Workplace Religious Freedom Act – James Standish

            Crucial legislation needed to protect the right of employees to obtain religious accommodation from their jobs for their religious beliefs and practices. Attorney James Standish is Congressional Liaison for the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

            July 20 -- The International Criminal Court. James Standish

The government relations director for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists discusses the scope and jurisdiction of this new court, and why some Christians fear it threatens fundamental human rights.

              December 28 -- The Myth of Separation? Part 1. Professor Barry Hankins

A professor of history and church state studies at Baylor criticizes recent scholarship that attacks the historical principle of separation of church and state.
